OK, so summer is finally here! Stampede is over, hot weather is here and there’s long lines of campers heading off to vacation sites every Friday!

But what’s the market been doing?

Pretty darn good! While we are not seeing huge jumps in list prices, houses are nicely selling! Some areas, of course, faster than others but overall the market is healthy!

Good news from the Bank of Canada…. Looks like the low interest rates are here to stay for quite a while now!

Also, has anyone else noticed just how many out-of-town licence plates there are? I’m seeing considerable activity from buyers coming from Ontario and the U.S.!

By the way, folks, I’m publishing a book! Yep! Me the big “writer!!!!” OK, maybe that’s over-stating things just a little but here’s the scoop… I’ve had about 100 people come to me in the last couple of years complaining that their real estate agent cannot seem to sell their house. My book will address key problems sellers face when listing and selling their house. It will point out what features buyers are really looking for. The focus of the book will be on before and after pictures because we all know a picture speaks is a thousand words! I’ll have an area on my website to order a book for those of you who want the “insider secrets” that I use to get houses sold that other realtors can’t.

On a final note to those of you looking for a house or condo… the market is nicely competitive right now so those of you who see a place you like, write an offer on it right there and then. I’ve had too many buyers lately lose out because they want to think about it for a couple of days!
